Safety 1st! Thats the main point :)

      Our disclaimer is:

We will not be held liable for any accidents or injury while wearing Mei’s Baby Carrier.

It is our responsibility that we warn baby sling users of any possible risk, so that accidents can be avoided. We do not want parents to buy baby carriers & wear their babies without knowing their responsibilities of checking their baby safety every once in a while.

FYI, Some companies/maker of baby carrier do send their product to be certified. But it cost a lot, especially for handmade product/WAHM/small industry like us. Thats why we highlight these safety points/warnings. You may find that most baby sling/carrier maker has their own disclaimer somewhere in their site. Some make the font so small, that its hard to read! :P

For your information, we make sure that we use reliable quality products on our carrier (eg, tested buckles from http://www.rei.com, tested aluminium rings from http://www.slingrings.com) and our product are tested on our own kids prior to selling them to the public.

Why not join the Babywearing Safety group on Facebook for more info. You may find lots of good info linked to the group and do visit http://www.thebabywearers.com for more info too.

We wish you happy + safe Babywearing

Hi, may I know what’s the maximum weight ur Mei-Tai can support?

Most baby carriers I know of can only support up to 12kgs max… and my 7mth old is already 9kgs, wouldn’t be long before she reaches 12kgs, i think =/

  3. halinaz says:

    HI yanz,
i’ve tested the mei tai with my boys at 15kg @ 2yrs++.
Size wise, i could carry my 6 yrs old son with a toddler size mei tai. but he is to heavy to be carried (@19kg at that time)for more than 5 minutes. :)

Most importantly is to check your carrier for wear & tear, every time before using it.
