Its been awhile since my last
post. sorry bout that. Been pretty busy adjusting (yeah still
adjusting hahah) my life with school. Er, not me, Haariz :p

Hubby got a new job, thus effecting all the routine. me – work, haariz -school, idrees – erm,. sleep, play, etc. but still we managed to take some custom orders (mei tais, SSC, Mei tai wrap conversion ..
pics in flickr)Alhamdulillah.

However, we regret that starting 1st March 2011 (most prob till 3rd week April 2011), we will be taking a short break on custom orders – health reason & family holiday yeay!) We will have a few instocks available InsyaAllah.

Last but not least, we would like to invite all of you for our very first event for 2011, the Flea market! same like last year, organized by Fabulous Mom in TTDI. It is important to practice Safe Babywearing because to ensure the well being of our baby in the carrier and allow us enjoy all the benefits it offers. Below are the reasons why it is important to practice Safe Babywearing.

1- SAFE BABYWEARING is choosing suitable carriers that support the baby’s spine naturally to avoid putting baby at risk of deformation and infection.

2- SAFE BABYWEARING is reading the manual, understands it and follow the manufacturer’s guideline to avoid any mistake during use that may jeopardize the safety of the baby. The recommendation of age and weight must also be obliged to reduce the risk of the baby falling out of the carrier.

3- SAFE BABYWEARING is placing the baby in correct position to prevent from suffocation which can occur when the baby’s chin slumps on his own chest, kinking the airway.

4- SAFE BABYWEARING is not involving in dangerous activity while babywearing such as jogging or handling sharp object. Activity that has risk of falling should also be avoided. Eventhough, babywearing allows us to be multi tasking, we should put extra cautious when dealing or near hot area such as stove or oven. This is to prevent unavoidable accident.

5- SAFE BABYWEARING is ensuring that no fabric is obstructing the airflow of baby’s breathing. Rebreathing air is dangerous and toxic due to high level of carbon dioxide. Besides this, it can also reduce the ability of the baby to breathe.

6- SAFE BABYWEARING is always aware of the baby’s response. If anything undesirable occurs, fast countermeasure or action can be taken.

Last but least, by practicing Safe Babywearing we can enjoy the bonding between us and our baby to the fullest. It is the greatest expression of love by holding and carrying our baby.

Mei’s first SSC (Soft Structure Carrier)

I’m so excited, finally our very first SSC is now out for test. 5 luckly mom from Malaysian Babywearers will be testing this new carrier starting this week.

a bit about the carrier,

Body;

16″ tall (not including waist strap)

18″ wide (top)

15″ narrowest

16″ wide (bottom)

+ seat darts

+ lined with cotton canvas

Straps;

18″ padded shoulder strap (not including webbing – 20″)

22″ waist strap (not including webbing 22″)

4.5″ wide (widest part) waist strap width with curved 3 pcs padding (5″-12″-5″).

dual adjust buckle (for shoulder & waist strap)

International Babywearing Week 2010!

It’s that time of the year once again. All babywearing parents, grandparents, caretaker, brothers & sisters join together to celebrate the art of babywearing.

This year, we babywearers all around the world would like to remind ourselves and others on the importance of safe babywearing.

The importance of checking your carriers each and everytime before using it;

The importance of wearing the right kind of baby carrier to suits you and your baby;

The importance of checking your baby regularly;

The importance of the right position of carrying your baby;

The importance of practice, patience & persistence; the key to master the skill of babywearing.

Do join the Malaysian Babywearers Annual event this Saturday;

Time: 11am

well, this lucky someone has requested me to recycle & redesign it., and now its hers!

Welcoming the month of Ramadhan..

Hi & salam!

Ramadhan is coming!!.. (which is less than 3 weeks from now!)

I’m sure many are looking forward for this holy month

As for me, this time i’ll be training my 6 year old boy to fast., and hopefully take him to the Masjid for the terawikh prayers too, InsyaAllah!

With a few custom orders need to be completed this coming weeks, i’m afraid that i would not be able to accept any new custom order (starting today), until the 2nd week of September 2010.

However, if you are willing to wait for your custom to be ready after September. We would be happy to hear from you!

My Mei Tai

While i wait for the new fabrics to reach me (which now has landed in our fabric bin!), i made/pimped my self a Mei tai..

One sweet mama told me one day, who would want to wear a yellow mei tai.. so I made a transformation..

This is one of Mei’s Mei Tai ver 2 tester.. (tester = dull boring plain color mei tai :p )
